Our Meter Replacement Program is designed to replace and upgrade customers' meters in a systematic manner. Mechanical components inevitably wear down over time, which can affect the accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of water usage measurement. Therefore, we carry out this program cyclically, with meters typically being replaced every 10-15 years, to ensure that your meter is working correctly and providing accurate readings.
There are approximately 8,500 metered connections within Santa Paula. Out of those, approximately 1,000 have been installed or replaced within the last 2 years. The goal is to replace 500-600 /year to maintain the goal of a system-wide replacement every 10-15 years.
