Fleet Maintenance

Responsibilities

The Fleet Maintenance Division provides maintenance and repair for over 130 city-owned vehicles and equipment, including public safety vehicles, heavy construction equipment, medium and heavy-duty trucks, and the City’s back-up emergency generators.  Specifies, acquires and outfits vehicles and equipment tailored to department needs.  Fleet Maintenance is also responsible for the life-cycle management of the City’s fleet to include budgeting, data collection, billing reporting, long-term planning, policy development and utilization.

Staff also manages the City’s parts supply and inventory, hazardous waste disposal, complies with all Federal and State emissions regulations, and promotes environmentally friendly best management practices.
