Stormwater Program
To help ensure that discharges from Santa Paula’s storm drain system are not polluting our waterways, the city is required under the Federal clean Water Act to comply with a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit issued by California’s Regional Water Quality Control Board. Santa Paula participates in The Ventura Countywide Storm Water Quality Management Program, which was established to comply with the NPDES permit.
The stormwater program is funded through a stormwater assessment collected from all property owners by the Ventura County Watershed Protection District.
