Objective
The objective of the Administration and Engineering section of the Public Works Department is to provide general administrative and engineering oversight for all divisions within the Public Works Department, including:
Public Works Administration and Engineering also provides contract administration and oversight for the City's solid waste franchise hauler and wastewater (sewer) services including the Water Recycling Facility's Operations and Maintenance contract and its Collection System contract.
The division also administers:

- Pavement Management Program
- Land Development

Capital Improvement Program
The Engineering Division is responsible for the management and implementation of Capital Improvement Projects to maintain and upgrade the public infrastructures and facilities. Capital Improvement Projects include:

- Street Lights
Wastewater
- Sanitary Sewer Collection System

Land Development
The Public Works Department reviews and approves private development projects throughout the City that impact City rights of way and public infrastructure, in support of the Community and Economic Development Department
Operations & Maintenance
Provide overall direction, scheduling and oversight of Public Works Department activities and promote efficient, safe, and productive personnel and operations. Public Works also provides professional engineering support to other City departments, outside boards and commissions and the City Council on related technical matters.
